>>12331071one day, in the deepest crevice of the Himalayan Mountains, far down in the volcanic depths, a Japanese man calling himself Hiroyuki stood with his 24 hooded cultists.
They invoked an ancient demon calling himself Bantorliath to perform the ancient rite of board-creation, something that had not been done for years. It was a forbidden power too great to truly understand, and Hiro felt it.
He offered a blood sacrifice to the demon, in exchange for a new board which would hopefully contain the trash from /pol/, /a/, /b/, and /int/. The demon seemed sated, and he created the board we know as /bant/.
However, Hiro missed one crucial step: he forgot to bring the essence of a blonde virgin with him. Lacking this crucial ingredient, the demon corrupted the cultists of /pol/, causing them go mad with power and begin dumping all their trash into the board that was intended to be in perfect harmony.
And so, half a decade of strife ensued. Spam from the mods was counteracted by spam from the users, the users fought with themselves, and in the end it was cursed to never go beyond a simple backwater that people occasionally stumble into.
