1. Give boss more heads up you are looking for a new job. He gets a replacement faster and fires you before you successfully get a new job.

2. Don't tell boss until you've been offered a new job. New boss will only let you start in 2 weeks at the latest. Old boss (and probably coworkers too) hate you even more now.
