Just that the baka who learned symbols already spent time while the baka who bought a book didn't. It's easy to cope if you don't actually learn desu so buying stuff won't help much

During the last 2 years of college, I bought 2 textbooks, both of them for less than $200 (so like 8 euros), one of which I ended up using for 2 different classes.
The rest of the stuff I've had to use were textbooks that I downloaded PDFs of. In many cases, professors even provided the class with PDFs, but in others, they just told the students to go look for them on their own.

I see, probably because Mexico is poor. In 1st world countries unis and college make you buy many expensive books. I saw bakas posting that pretending to have bought the pdf is fine though
