>>12398866Lets go to another verse that teaches the salvation of all.
Romans 5:17-19
17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
18 So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.
19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
>So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all menYou believe this, everyone in Christianity believes this, everyone believes because of one act by Adam the entire human race was doomed.
>even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all menYou do not believe this, no one in Christianity believes that because Jesus died on that cross, justification and life (immortality) came to all men, they believe he made it possible to be justified and be made immortal, but not that the act Jesus accomplished justification and immortality for all. It did! Salvation is secured, the question is not if but when.
> the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinnersYou believe this.
>even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteousYou do not believe this, in context the same many that were made sinners (everyone except Jesus) is the same many that are made righteous.
This is prolepsis, Paul is calling things that are not, as though they were, because they will be in the end.
Just as one man, Adam, through his one sin, condemned the entire human race, so too through the once act of righteousness, Jesus, saved and justified the entire human race. Thanks to Jesus everyone (the same everyone that Adam condemned) will be Justified, and they will be made immortal.
