at this point though, politics has to be a career, just like everything else. consistency is a good thing, it hurts to change mayors every 4 years. wouldn't that stall projects?
i feel like even presidents shouldn't have such short terms. we keep flip flopping from republican to democrat, but we never give either a chance to fully flesh out their plans. 8 years isn't enough imo

With recent developments I've taken a very blasé attitude towards politics in general. Every election it just changes ever so slightly but nothing really major. People get all up in a huff about the different issues but the drastic changes never come so it's not really worth getting all worked up over it like some people do.
I'd rather talk anything other than politics because I'm a dirty lolbertarian who wants to be able to purchase recreational surplus nukes and the rest of the time I'm not really into the whole politics talk because it can't end with it being as simple as let people live their lives how they want and try to protect freedom with the rules.
