I haven't been to /r9k/ since it was new, so I can't say anything about the content or the posters there now, but I honestly don't think it's a good place to hang out. People are shaped by those around them, and there's no reason why online communities wouldn't have the same effect. And they don't really seem like the comfiest bunch.
