Historically speaking, has there ever been a country with such a huge inferiority complex as Mexico? They cope while claiming to be north americans instead of latinamericans and yet they have one of the worse standards of leaving in America. They complain about american racism and take pride in the >aztec and mayan heritage, yet they look down on pure indians. They renounce their spanish heritage and call the Virgin of Guadalupe "morenita mía" yet try as hard as they can to look white, or have their children marry "white" people. What's the historical cause of this idiosyncrasy? Does any other country have an inferiority complex as big as mexicans?
