Fear of action's powerful; success means a new and alien and often uncomfortable lifestyle, and failure means despair. Believe me, I know how you feel. The world wants creative people still. I think the key might be finding amongst the things you're grazing on now, something you like a bit more than the others, and poking away at it a bit more. Best to get in motion first, even if it's very, very slow, and then start to pick up speed!
