I can not hold a firm belief in anything unless there is a sufficient amount of proof and evidence.

If religious texts and religious people can NOT back up their outrageous claims with solid proof and scientific evidence then their ideas are nonsense.

Faith doesn't make sense to me. Why believe in something that can't be proven to be real or true? It's just wishful thinking. I can't have blind faith based on the delusions other people hold. At best I am skeptical but usually I just outright dismiss religion since I am an intellectual and a rational man of science as opposed to a gullible cult member who absorbs any bullshit they hear from their fellow cultists.

I'm not even going to explore the specifics of the various religions themselves. They have one job to do, to prove their beliefs, and they fail to do that. All the mythology and other crap is filler.
And christcucks don't feel like this is a personal attack against you. All the other religions like Islam, Hinduism, Hare Krishna, Buddhism, etc, are equally retarded.

Yes science is not perfect but it's the best belief system we have. It provides a better explanation for the world than any religion. It backs up these explanations with repeatable experiments and mathematical formulas that allow us to develop various technologies. Plus science is constantly evolving as we learn new things so our understanding of science today is better than it was 100 years ago since it doesn't limit itself to dogmatic practices that hold back humanity and society. And likewise science and technology will be even more advanced in 100 years than it is today whereas fundamental Christianity will be stuck in the same place repeating the words of a 2000 year old book that originated out of Jewish folklore.
