CAMPING
Camp outside two days a month,
Purchase a hatchet, etool, tarp, ropes, stakes, and sleeping bag.

Start with a lighter and tinder, once competent obtain a flint and steel and scavenge your own fuel with your hatchet.
Don't forget that small slivers of dry wood cut from a larger piece with you hatchet make great fire starters, and dry pinecones, pine needles, dry moss, dry grass are all great tinder.
Learn to filter and boil water and eat outside, if you can you should learn to trap small animals (squirrels, birds, etc.) and cook them.
