Idk you're a boomer so you probably remember the days when games looked like shit and didn't have 3d graphics, so the newer fallouts probably seemed like a godsend to you
But as someone who grew up with 3d graphics as a baseline and enjoyed many great first person shooters, the newer games fail both mechanically and graphically
Unless you're talking about fallout 2

I think, as weird as it is, the writing and pacing got a lot weirder after 2
The core people that started 1 left after they were told 2 would be made
Or they left after it released, I can't remember
Either way, they had less creative input and formed a whole different studio that made the second best (not actually a fallout game) fallout game
I'm really looking forward to the fallout 4 new vegas mod tho where they're porting it to the updated engine
I think that'll be good
