Most trannies today are late onset (read: were not feminine as children and started to experience gender dysphoria only in adulthood), heterosexual (commonly known as transbians) and autogynephilic.
Androphilic transsexuals respond to your definition of transsexuality as some sort brain defect that can be linked back to a low T exposure in the womb, the problem is that they're the 10-20% of the transsexual population at most, it's all transbians that got their dysphoria from tranime and discord grooming nowadays.
