>>12578418i guess it'd be worse with nagatoro specifically because of this but i think sol is generally boring in animated form. the fun part is usually the idea of mundane characters reacting to extreme situations or vice versa but when i have to hear them scream for 30 seconds at a time it gets quite boring and slow. better to be able to read through the lame stuff quickly and linger on anything that's actually fun when i want to. anything that's primarily dialogue i'd rather read than watch anyway

well who fuckin cares then. this method might naturally lend itself to teaching pronunciation early but there's no reason u couldn't focus on it early on in the classroom, most curriculums just don't because it's boring to grind. general word choice is the thing that's really hard to get correct because it's just as big of a giveaway that ur foreign but since ur essentially picking out the "natural" way to phrase every sentence from an infinite number of valid options the only way to develop this skill is by listening for tens of thousands of hours
