The airship fires a missile that just barely misses since you're going backwards. It rocks the truck, a bit. You finally figure out how to change the direction and begin heading forward. You don't see anything that can obscure the truck yet.

You run and look for shelter away from the aircraft. You find a building that has one of its walls is destroyed, but it has sufficient cover to hide you. You can see through the destroyed wall the airship and the corpses. One of the corpses seems to move a little, and you realize that this one's actually alive. All of a sudden the aircraft fires its machine gun at them, killing them once and for all. The aircraft then begins flying to another location, but very slow and low to the ground. It might be looking for survivors.

You head over to the farm. The crops seem to be growing well, and they have a few horses too. This farm may not be abandoned after all. Looking in the farmhouse however, you see a family tied up, and some men with guns in the house with them. You're not sure what's happening, but the men with guns look dangerous.

You get a primary weapon and a secondary weapon of your choice. Plus some food and water. You wake up in some type of abandoned hobocamp under a bridge. Before the invasion hobos used to gather here in their tents and makeshift huts, but now they're all gone. It's a good place to stay since it's out of the city and arume don't bother checking the place.

You enter the vehicle, but you're not sure how the hell it works. It looks somewhat similar to human vehicles on the inside, but different enough to leave you confused.
You hear some sort of radio come on speaking the arume language. You can only assume they're asking if they're okay judging by the tone of voice.

You hide from the aircraft. You lay under a tree with some good shrubs to give you cover. As you peek at it, you can't really make out who's in the cockpit since it's a bit tinted, but you do notice something else as it gets closer. It has a flamethrower attached to the side of it, and it's burning the trees down for whatever reason. That was the fire you smelled before. It looks as if it's going around the forest trying to burn around the perimeter, causing a forest fire.

You wake up in a torn down city. Half the buildings have been completely reduced to rubble, making it hard to traverse the streets. Luckily for you the Arume don't really patrol this area that much, but there are looters here who may be hostile. You're currently in an abandoned convenience store. All the food and other useful items have been looted already.

As soon as you exit the store you see a main street, and a side street. The other streets are covered with rubble so high it would be hard to climb and traverse. On the main street are a patrol of arume who spot you before you could even see them. Probably because the rubble made them hard to spot. They're also quite far away.
Arume: "HEY YOU THERE! STOP! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"

You observe your peaceful hobo fort and drink some water, clearing up your dry throat from the night. The hobo fort is under a bridge so it covers you from airship patrols. Also there's some large pipes on each side of the bridge that lead out into a river. You could use it to escape if you ever needed it to. All of a sudden your peace is disturbed by the sound of some explosions in the distance and vehicles running. You're not sure what it is, but if you trust in the hobofort it might pass.

You have quite a bit of ammo for your M4 since the base had some laying around. You set off, then realize you have no idea where to go. You come back and grab a map, and then set off once more. (pic related)
You look over the map and find your location. You're in louisiana if you didn't know, in the middle of the woods. You find Mcberry's farm on the map as well. It's closer to the city, but still in the rural area. It should take about 30 minutes to reach assuming you can avoid the Arume. Luckily for you they have some patrol routes on the map, but you don't know how old these are. You can take the highway road there which has more patrols, or go around through the woods which will take about an hour, but is safer.

Using your instincts, you can tell exactly which part of the forest isn't burnt and make your way out. You begin heading there before you burn, but on the way you bump into a man who was running in the opposite direction. It's a white man, and an older one at that. He seems to have some military fatigues on, and looks exhausted. He seems to be in his 50s.
White man: "Shit! I thought you were an arume for a moment! Listen, we need to get out of here! They're burning the forest to finish us off!"
The foolish white man is running in the direction of the fire.

They might be hostile, but they're being quiet too because of the arume. One of them puts their finger to their lips to signal you to be quiet. You now have cover from the airship. You hear some shots being fired, and then the arume turn the corner leaving you out of their line of sight. You can hear them yelling in their language.

It's been about an hour, so your recruits should be around there. You don't see out in the open though. It seems like a small farm, and the crops and animals are all gone, so it's probably abandoned. All that's left standing are the barn and house.

You hear something in the air in the distance getting closer. If what they said about the airship is true, you're fucked unless you know a way to get out of here. Their backs are turned to you too, since they're peeking into the other building, so you might be able to kill them quickly and then escape. But you're also low on ammo so you'll have to make the shots count.

Now that both the airship and the patrol are in that direction the three men slowly get up and try to leave, but the airship still might spot them if they do. It looks like they'll risk it in case that airship decides to blow up every building in the area, in which case you're fucked.

You take your barret 50 at your side and begin walking towards the countryside, away from the road. It's quite peaceful, you'd never know there was an alien invasion going on. As you're walking though, you see some smoke up ahead. Going closer you see a truck on the road, with its hood up. Smoke is coming out of it. The front doors are open, and there's a dead dude falling out of it. The truck doesn't look too damaged either, it might be usable. The gas station you slept at might have some tools to allow you to fix it up, or refuel.

You wait until they leave, and then go to exit. However, about 3 seconds after they get outside, they get blown up. They colour the pavement red with guts and blood. You almost got hit by it too as you were leaving, but luckily the shop gave you some cover. It seems the airship spotted them. Then, before you have any time to think, another explosion happens on the opposite side of the shop. You almost get crushed as the roof falls. It looks like the airship spotted them, and is now leveling this building.

Johnny revs up the vehicle and drives straight into the pipes. It just barely fits through, and damages the car as it rams itself in. Just as you guys get inside, the airship arrives and blows the bridge up. The hobo camp is forever lost... but not forgotten.
However the airship has no idea where you niggas escaped to, since the rubble covers up the oil pipes.

There's an exit towards the back that you could use, but it doesn't guarantee that the airship above won't spot you. You can use the echo thing, but you're not sure how well it would work in this situation with low ammo. You can try it though if there's no other option. There's a small opening in the collapsed roof that leads across the street to another building. You might be able to use the other building as cover for a short amount of time. It's better than being out in the open. You make a break for it and make it to the next building. It's an office building, and the airship begins firing at it. It holds up a bit more since it's larger, but it'll collapse again if you don't think of something else now. There's a basement floor that you could take cover under, and fool the arume into thinking you're crushed. Or you could try to take cover in another building by running out again.

As the airship begins firing on another building, you use this opportunity to sneak out. You use the rubble to your advantage, and hide behind every nook and cranny you can. The airship just continues firing on other buildings, and doesn't know where you are. You keep going until you see a manhole to the sewer. You can try and escape through the sewer, or keep going through the city until you're further away.

There's only this arume vehicle and some other cars parked around. Most are either destroyed or without gas. You could go around hotwiring some to hopefully come across one with gas. Or maybe take gas from this arume vehicle, but you're not even sure if it uses gas. You could get this unstuck though if you just figure out how to reverse. One of the arume could know how, but they don't speak english.

A man emerges from the trees. He's dressed similar to Trautman.
"Nice one making all that commotion. Made finding you much easier..."
2 other men emerge from the trees and begin treating trautman. Another man goes to treat you too. Perhaps the spirits summoned these men for you.

The food is mostly canned or long lasting shit like jerky. It should last a few days if you ration it.
You use the keys to try and start it, but it goes AEHAHEAHEAEHAEHAHEAHAH. and doesn't start. Something up with the engine. You might be able to fix it with the tools from the gas station, but it may take some time.
