the article is about the iphone 12, but a picture of the phone, while logical and perfectly adequate, is unfortunately not enough.
a picture of the person simply smiling and holding the phone however connects with the camera and the viewer which curiously is not the message these soibois want to convey. soibois want to show others how connected they are with the object they are holding, which allow for a certain level of disassociation with the person viewing in favor of greater association with the object.
picrel goes a step further by looking at the object too.
