I have been attempting to lucid dream in the past few months. Last night, I had a dream that I was at a doctor’s office, and most of the events were quite normal. My husband picks me up and when we go home, we do some work and then end up watching TV and falling asleep on the couch. This is where it gets more intense.
My second dream within this dream has me in a place I’ve been before. It is an ancient hotel filled with evil creatures on each floor, and no lights work on the top floor. My task is always the same, save as many children as I can. I find two on the top floor, but instantly one of them is taken. In a frenzy, I clutch the second child to my chest and run as fast as I can down the winding stairway. I can hear the creatures coming down the stairs behind me.
Suddenly, I wake up again in the room with my husband. Our cat is on my lap. I fall back asleep and re-enter the evil hotel dream. This time I realize it’s a dream, so I leave the stairs and go into a room, which in the middle of the building, more of the lights work. I see a glass bottle and will it into a bat with nails sticking out of the end. I still have the child in my free arm, and I beat back some unidentified creature as it lunges for the child. (1/2)
