What most locals here don't appreciate is descendance of immigrants calling themselves Mexican, "Mexican" is not a race, it's a nationality.
We are so mixed since our independence 200 years ago that if your family has been here since then, 2 "white" parents can have a "black" baby without any cheating. So calling our race soup a race makes no sense.
Possibly only Mayans and some other native remains can call themselves the "Mexican race" but most of them won't, they have their own names for their own.
I guess my point is, they have no right to call themselves tacos when all they know is the burger life, and that has nothing to do with race.
And all burgers should stop pretending they are not burgers just because they got different fillings, even with minor "Cultural differences" most live the burger life.
