Do you believe in a deterministic world, Anon? Some people think that each Great Bang would result in the exact same world created over and over, but do you think that life and furthermore society created us as something akin to deterministic creatures?
People, just like machines, cannot (theoretically) create, only learn, duplicate and mix together. If you never heard of a concept of a hammer and never met criteria, where a hammer would be needed in your life or any problem solving, you would most likely never even come to a conclusion, that something like a hammer could exist. It's like imagining a colour you have never seen.
Similarly what we only work with when making decisions and shaping our personalities is how we see others react to things. Feral children are feral because you don't have any magical genes in your head to make you a social creature, at least not from the get-go.
Basically, wouldn't it be sane to assume, that all of our choices in life are because of people we met, grew up with, came in contact with, are because of people they inerracted with, are because of things they did and interracted with, are because of people they things and work are because invention hammer are things people because money are tool and interracted are yes?
