There are true Messianics who follow the old traditions and activly seek the most accurate Christian doctrine just as the 1st century church did,
then there are the judaizers who deny the sufficiency of the Crucifixion. They gave the Apostles trouble in the early days, and now they are back.
Like the heretics Mohamed and Joseph Smith, they insist that following the law has some baring on salvation, even denying the divinity of Christ or the tribune nature of God.
They often obsess over the end-times without want of sound eschatology, and they think their Jewish aesthetic somehow makes them holier than other denominations.
A true Messianic may not celebrate Christmas and Easter, but they will appreciate when others do. They may keep kosher, but they will not insist that others do.
