Yes jannies this is political, truckers are a critical part of the economy of a nation and inseparable from politics due to how heavily regulated they are.

How's life on the road in 2021? Any stories or insights? I'm considering getting my CDL. Is it worth it? How has the Doom Flu changed things? How often do you have to wear a mask? Any info is greatly appreciated.

AS A REMINDER: fully OTR long distance automation will not happen anytime soon, nor ever without a human. Very small, local routes may be feasible, but barely and still very expensive. Cartels and other criminal organizations are salivating at the prospect of low risk/high reward stealing automated hauls.

I've never seen any lot lizards, but I mostly stop at the big 5 truck stops, Frying J, Pilot, TA, Petro, loves. A nigger tried to sell me crack at a mom and pop truck stop in south Carolina though.

FAQs:
1.you’ll have a somewhat difficult time getting used to driving with a trailer. Backing is the hardest part.

2. You were built for this. Neets are the best fits for truckers.

3. Gymfags go flatbed as it keeps you in shape.

4. The job pays pretty well or shit depending on your attitude, needs, ability, and how well that you budget.

5. OTR’s can live anywhere. Cityfags will have plenty of local opportunities as they gain skill/experience

6. Can be racist as fuck because you are highly needed. Also expect to see niggers, lesbians, spics, fags, and trannies doing it. Vast majority whites will be klan country boys.

7. You get to see the country. Be scared as fuck the first couple of times that you drive up and down mountains, snow, heavy rain

8. Living in your truck so that you aren’t paying rent.

I live in a large property, where there are 7 (out of 15) people working. All of them diesel mechanics or OTR. The diluted/shared cost of living renders a big combined annual household income --- for the last 30+ years!

I am going to train for plumbing (I have experience, but need certification) this fall. I do heavy duty maintenance/pest control on the property, right now.
