mgs 1/2 are the best story wise
3 is fun but the cutscenes are boring and too long
4 is is almost perfect but 1 hour cutscenes of shit that could have been explained in 20-30
v had me the most hyped before launch and was most disappointing once i played maybe tied with 3.

Shame no one has mentioned the PSP titles yet since the aspect of being an agent deployed to conduct espionage and infiltration ops (around the world like a CIA spook) was best captivated in MPO, MPO+, and Peace Walker. A!CD was also great too, all highly underrated desu, the online multiplayer was great.

In snake eater I never understood why boss insisted on dying. She talks about it like it's inevitable even though she doesn't wanna fight snake.

She had to die, she went undercover as the bad guy. She did it knowing the guy she taught everything she knew to was going to be the triggerman. She was also barren like him from the atoll testing so she wanted to go out and make sure he was going to be okay, whilst changing his world views. He was loyal to his country but not himself. He needed that push to start Outer Haven/Heaven.

i was a teen when mgs2 came out and was very excited to play as Snake again. I didn't play 3-?... I saw my friend play a little of 4 and he was old. I'm slightly disappointed I didn't get off the boat after 3 with what everyone has said about it since, but 5 has been tempting because farcry+mgs. I just don't need more brainwashing.
