How true do you guys think this is? It does kinda ring true at least for me a few years back and some people I met and chat with online. The catalyst for becoming a right ring edgelord is basically just personal failure in life.
You fail with women so you LARP as "trad" now as an excuse for being an incel. You fail to achieve your career/academic goals so now you're an IQ worshipper who shits on blacks all the time. You hate your own life probably for material reasons like your looks or wealth but you want to blame something else to feel better, so you pick politics as a hobby and hate the libs for fun.
It's all stupid and unproductive. People who win in life and get everything they wish for don't become alt right/alt lite edgelords, they're mostly liberal or mild centrist/conservative. You don't become a QAnon type because you're winning in life
