thats what i was thinking too. my only explanation for a flu in isolation is based on something i heard about vitamin d deficiency causing flu symptoms during the fall/winter. i dont really believe in germ theory and im here to learn

There are numerous records showing smallpox, whooping cough, measles, etc, decimating remote isolated communities once contacted and introduced to them, and some cases where diseases were brought back.
Look up the origin of quarantines. This was a common observable phenomena and authorities adopted preventative measures before germ theory was wide spread.
