>>12709700I can understand that, only problem is when boomers decided to vote for right-wing economics because they "didn't want niggers getting their tax dollars" it led to all of the economic problems we ended up with, which in turn I think led to all of the social problems we ended up with.
So there are hard issues to deal with in America and the general /pol/ ethos of "cut the welfare cuz I don't wan niggers getting my tax bux" is wrong in my opinion, and just a retread of the same mistake the country has made for 65 years since Nixon.
>>12709701None of what I listed led to the problems in the 70s, that was all due to one specific policy from the Reagan administration, when he pulled us out of Brenton Woods. AKA "Reagan Shock" AKA "taking us off the gold standard".
But anyway we were a lot better off in the 70s than we are now. If you could go back to the 70s and live, you would. You could raise a family on a higschool education, own your home, 2 cars and your wife didn't even have to work. It's when we went to the right on economics all the problems got bad.
>>12709702Well that really makes you a Republican. Most Americans don't drink the kool-aid on their political party, they vote for them because they believe the party itself is the lesser of two evils. And most Republicans always complain about the Republican party, as do Democrats. So I would argue that just makes you a normal Republican.
