Ok, I know everyone here likes to hate on tradies, but they HAVE TO be making more than your average white collar worker. I make $140+k/year in the corporate world, have a bunch of degrees and letters after my name, and there is no way my hourly rate is less than their hourly rate. Just as an example:
>$175 to install a toilet
>$80 to install a GFCI outlet
>$30 to replace regular outlets
>$275 to install a bathroom fan
Each one of these jobs took them a few minutes a pop to complete, and it took them more than a week to get me in because they’re so booked. Hell, some of them didn’t even call me back probably because they don’t need the business. I fucked up by going to the corporate route. They got me by the shorthairs because all I know how to do is mind numbing corporate work.
