>>12757900God chose the Jews to be the herald for his son, not to aggrandize themselves. God is not an Israelite. The instant Christ walked out of his tomb all of mankind was redeemed, not just the Jews. The chosen people is now anyone who believes in him and what he did. God's grace now was open to all souls, to all his children. It isn't that God condemns people to hellfire, people choose to go there. God freely offers his love and salvation to anyone who wants it. If you made your dad mad and are walking around outside in a raging storm trying to avoid him, and your dad says "I'm over it. You can come back if you want. I want you to come back. I still love you." And you don't go back after hearing that from him and instead you keep wandering around in the dark in a storm and get lost the blame is entirely yours. All you have to do is believe in him, repent your sins with legitimate sincerity, and that's it.
