It was a half sphere.
Instead of the glass being the lens, the glass is the container, the actual lens is a cynlinder by a triangle. This shuts out scattered light with 'perfect' or error correcting interference from the three sides instead of one in a normal lens which is shit.
So, instead of light in air to mirror to air to lens to eye, it's just air, cutting out two of the glass lens trips works wonders!
One of the reasons it's not been more readily made is that you cannot create a mould for a hole, usually you create a copy of something with a mould but a hole, no. I overcame that and all my lenses have CRAZY properties. I got one that can see metal from really far away and through lots of ground. I think the eye of providence symbol is the instruction for making it, air gap and triangle with light behind you.
The triangular pyramid and square pyramid ones with the spherical one amplfiy the effect.
