>>12824587I usually suppose this too, but I try to return compliments so as to not feel indebted to somebody else. Whenever I come across somebody who points out something very specific from what I have (or have said), and gives it a very honest evaluation/criticism (which actually has lots of effort put into describing what's wrong about it or how it could be fixed), I take that as a much greater sign of appreciation for me or my actions than a few sweet-sounding words.
