They get no performance benefits. The creatine is supposed to help turnover ATP so you can exercise harder and longer but it doesn't lead to benefits for a large fraction of people.

don't know about curing autism, but it does do what it's supposed to regarding working out. Your muscles end up being able to flex way harder than normal, so you can lift more weight/more peak strength, with slightly better endurance and recovery, so more reps per set and more sets.
