>>12874529Christ told Peter that He, Christ Himself, would be the Rock, not Peter. Like three verses later, Christ calls Peter a "Satan" (doubter) and to "get thee behind me."
And all of this is beside the point, because the Disciples never existed as flesh and blood. They are personifications of a disciplined mind. Peter (The Hearer or The Witness) holds the keys to Heaven (which is within, as we all know). It is Peter who denies entry to your mind, your thoughts, your beliefs, of any unworthy to be there. When you see something unlovely, and you allow it to affect your thoughts and behavior, you have not held "Peter" to discipleship, as this aspect of the mind is the one who permits or bars such thoughts from "entering Heaven" (affecting your thoughts and behavior).
The Kingdom of Heaven is within, and it is at hand now, today, as it has been since the beginning, yet Man in his blindness lacks the wisdom to understand what the authors of the Bible have been trying to say all along.
