I was a small kid, like 5, but I remember the parade that he held...
It was wonderful, I still remember how they had a marching band who blasted a beautiful piece of German military music, can't remember its name.
There were colourful banners, lots of swastikas, and many men proud to serve their country.
He held me up and said "This is young child is a child of Germany and German people. I will fight for him, for he truly is what we can all call an innocent person." (My mother wrote down what he said, so that's why I remember it.)
There wasn't anything else like it.
