short bio first
>be me
>technically vegan for 10 years (but I hate the word vegan)
>still eat meat whenever someone else offers me (on restaurant or in social gatherings, family stuff, ...)
>as a meat eater my weight clocked in below 60 kg
>after 5 years of lifting I put on 10kg of lean mass on 99,99% plants, which isn't terrible considering I'm a manlet and don't really train legs
>never, ever once in my life taken protein powder or PEDs
>secret sauce?
>LENTILS
My core staple has always been lentils. There are a lot of varieties and some of them yield 28, almost 30 grams of protein per 100 kg (dry weight). So what's good about lentils?
>relatively cheap
>more protein/kg than chicken breast
>very efficient to produce - doesn't harm nature too much - eco fascist friendly
>you don't need a fridge to store them
>literally buy in bulk: +/- 100€ for a whole year of HIGH QUALITY protein
>you don't need to cook them to consume. In fact IT IS BETTER TO NO COOK THEM EVEN IF YOU COULD.
Let me explain:
eating plants raw means you're not killing the enzymes. Enzymes are needed to break down the food: speeds up digestion and does not make you feel 'sluggish' after eat a shit ton of them. But most importantly: it INCREASES nutrient absorption!!!!!!!!!!
