Pretty much guaranteed to die there unless you're rocking $300k+ in kit and LVL 5 armor. You should try to learn a map with a lot of quests on it for right now like Customs. There's tons of quests that take place in the dorms and you should learn how to navigate a large map.
Tarkov is a very slow game and that's why you keep dying. Slow down and learn every step of the map, where the scavs spawn and where players will be moving from before you go Chadding it up in the dorms running marked room with just a pistol.
Keys are going to be your best friend. They'll get you into places you can either hide or pull plays from by accessing shortcuts.
Also remember to use your butthole properly (the alpha container) as anything you put in there is going to be kept after the game no matter what happens to you. I usually keep lots of meds in my asshole since they're hard to get back in early game due to Therapist's prices being whack as fuck.
