media really does sometimes lay the blueprint for what people think is a way to express themselves. you see it with terror attacks and spree shooting too.
when someone wants to tell the world to fuck off, they will go for the thing that nets the biggest amount of tragedy for the most people. so every time every media outlet didn't ridicule terrorists for being goat fuckers but as dreaded slayers of men. every time they talked about how sad columbine was, they inspired a new depressed disenfranchised asshole to be a spree shooter. the decline of serial killers in my opinion coincides with the fact that journalists don't even care anymore.
