Folk dancing is something that helps a community come together and bond. It is also an excellent way for young people to come together and for love and friendships to be developed in a safe and positive environment that brings the focus on personality and romance, less so on sexuality though that still may be expressed if the dancers are good enough. Whereas that is all that is concerned in modern dancing, which is antithetical to love.
