WTF is up with this board game craze? These people are the absolute worst! Spending tens of thousands and wasting their precious brain power learning rules to board games that they only play once!? Is there anything lamer than a board gamer?

At best it's time spent with others where at least one of you has to use a significant portion of your intellect. Most people don't even eat around a table anymore.

At worst it's the last bastion of material media consumption. The DVD collector has shifted to hoarding boardgames to never play just to buy and own something. It's an industry of massively inflated, over produced for profit luxury items almost entirely kickstarter based (even Hasbro uses kickstarters to cut costs) and FOMO oriented.

Board Games are great but old classics like Risk are absurdly expensive compared to their original cost for no other reason that industry metrics like Box Size.

There was this fag that came to a 40k tournament with his pink gay flag flying space Marine army. Everyone who he played against bullied him and called his army Chaos or Heritic astartes. Every time I killed a unit I told him death to the Heritic... and I play Tyranids.

Lmao. Coincidentally starting to get into 40k. I bought the CWE start collecting and a squad of dire avengers. However I'm going to be doing recasting with "blue stuff" and milliput + green stuff.
