>>12982120Because lifting weights doesn't do that much for them at that age and can cause injury as well as stunt growth. They SHOULD be learning skills that they enjoy, that help the wider community and whatever your culture places emphasis on. Typically in small towns those three kind of coincide with eachother because there isn't a whole lot to choose from, but in urban areas you run into issues and an identity crisis. Especially if they have no idea how things are made and have no exposure to the skillsets that a job requires. There can also be legal trouble, like for example most rural areas place an emphasis on self defense and gun owner ship, but if you do either in some cities you will get shit on, when in a rural area no one really minds enough to take it to a higher judicial power unless something bad happens.
Weightlifting should only really be done at age 15+. Children should have diet that is fairly healthy and get enough exercise in their daily lives that obesity isn't an issue. That is a lot easier in rural areas than in urban ones though.
