Why are "Turks" so adamant about their supposed Central Asian ancestry?
The average "Turk" is actually a blending of Greek, Slavic, and Armenian stock. Only a few of them have any Turkic lineage at all, and even then their share of it is in the single digits.
Turkey has to be the biggest LARP in all of human history. An entire nation, tens of millions of people, all larping as Central Asian jihadists when in reality they're just a bunch of western converts who got meme'd into thinking they're from Asia. It's actually pretty funny when you think about it that way.
