You guys ever gave any money to a charity? I'm thinking about giving some money to a clean water for africa project but I'm not sure who's trustworthy I'd hate for the money to not actually go to the kids or worse my money get stolen by some scammer

I have, but most charities are a scam in which something like *5% of the money goes to the cause and the rest goes to pockets of the people who set it up.

Also don't give money to africa, give it to your own community or use it to buy things to improve your community yourself with your own two hands.
I bet there are people in your own family who are hurting and need help. Why not try to use your money to improve their lives instead?

I have to try I can't physically go there and help these people. I told myself when I was young and saw those commercials with starving kids and the ones with the mistreated animals that when I became rich I would do something to help them and now that I got my stimulus I think I should keep good on my word

If you want the oceans to heal you must first stop china and india from polluting them so heavily.
There is a guy and his team trying to prevent all the waste those two countries produce from ending up in the ocean. Cannot recall his name, but stopping those backwards, careless nations from polluting needs to be done before you try to fund ocean restoration projects.
