In older warrior cultures, the women were trained in self defense and although they were rarely soldiers or leaders, they could hold their own if they were attacked, and these types of women didn't simply choose the most violent man in the room. They'd try to fuck him up and in the case of the Viking females they'd often win.
So no, I think this is a result of learned helplessness because the first world has a culture that literally turns people into petrified blobs incapable of the first thought of self-volition in a confrontation. All of us are trained: call the police, if you're mugged just give the money, not worth your life, etc. Trained into being helpless.
So in that sort of environment, of course the females are frail and pathetic and will submit their pussy to the first person who fuckin scares them a little bit.
