Why?

They may possibly spread their generic deficiencies, and will most likely to depend on government care.

It's not just the suffering the person goes through. The guilt towards the parents for bringing said child into the world knowing that their genes caused it also really fucks them up. Especially if it's a deteriorating condition that goes on.

t. Wheelchair cripple with multiple genetic issues whose father had severe breakdowns because of it.
I've been offered to freeze my eggs or go for pregnancy plans if I wanted to, but I refuse to have children and kill off my genes when I die.

It kind of depends to me.
If the deformation or illness is like or worse than Down's Syndrome, then I believe that they shouldn't be able to survive. I don't believe they should be all put in concentration camps or something, but if they are inable to function as any normal human being in both education and workforce, then they shouldn't be alive if they won't contribute to any of those two things.

Other than "oh they're human they're not any different", if their dependency is through government care only, then there's just no point in having them alive if we just have them leeching off of us.

Infertility is not a symptom of cancer, however, and I'm not sure about your country (assuming you're not on a proxy), but here they throw commercials of fucked up cancer kids who look like they should be dead, acting like all of the expensive treatment is helping them, even if they get out of there, they'll definitely require help for the rest of their life, and typically "charity" (the government) pays for it.

(I suppose chemo lowers sperm count, but it doesn't eliminate it, nor eggs)

The ultimate decision lies within the parents, but in the end if you're asking purely for my opinion, I think that natural selection is natural if we don't mess with it. Not to mention the cruelty of the subject, but you can't just kill people off because you don't have any hopes for them contributing to society... if that was so most people on earth would have to be killed, at the end making the situation worse by limiting yourselves and killing future prospects.
Just because someone doesn't seem bright, or has a problem, doesn't necessarily mean getting rid of him and his genes is better for the world.
