Ancient civilisations worshipped gods named after planets (or vice versa) such as the Egyptians and the Sumerians. They had knowledge about planetary movements that should have been way out of their technological capabilities. You've got to ask what motivated them to bee so interested in them in the first place.
If we were to assume the flat earth theory had some validity to it, then the next logical step would be to reclassify what planets actually are.
In popular media, when showing beings of immense power/intellect, they can often be depicted as balls of energy. Gods would have immeasurable IQs, they would be composed of ridiculous amounts of energy.
/pol/ has completely warped my mind and brought out my inner schizo. Come! Build on my theory! Discuss! Call me a faggot!
