>>13066785aw dude, outdoor climbing is the best, like literally my favourite days, almost all my favourite days have involved climbing.
shit actually feels like an adventure, especially the more remote crags, like North Wales for instance.
If you haven't already got an outdoor ticklist, UKC is really good for finding crags and whatnot, and a decent substitute for guidebooks, especially at diddy crags.
at this time of year, southern sandstone around Kent is great, just make sure it's very dry, that rock can be brittle.
Dorset coast is a great day out, Portland caters to everyone, bouldering, routes, soloing, and has loads of rock beaches.
Lake District has some of the most incredible scenery on the entire island, and the climbing is as good, if not better, go search "St.Bees", one of the best crags ever, with an approach that is literally a walk down a cliff where if you fell you would die, great stuff for building character!.
Peak District is amazing, just better in colder temps, because of the porous nature of sandstone, gritstone in particular.
Down southwest is the Granite, which like the Peak, probably best left to colder times, simply because otherwise you'll go through your skin MUCH quicker.
indoor climbing toughens your hands aplenty, outdoor climbing turns them into weapons so powerful that you can literally run your fingers across sawblades & feel nothing.
