Just got my revolver license for my state and I'm looking to get a .357 revolver. Ideally a Ruger but there's such a gun shortage I might settle for a Smith & Wesson.

How is a 686? They said that's what they'd have coming in. Apparently there are different barrel lengths (???), but I'd prefer to get a longer barrel length, snub noses don't interest me.
