if you want the opinion of someone who's not an american but has talked to them a lot

i find that whatever values they have, they will take those values to their absolute limits. i feel like for any given american, every single hill is the hill to die on for what they believe

something like "equality" once americanized becomes "kill whitey", something like social conservative becomes "kill nignogs sieg heil"

i've met americans who act like this irl too, and i understand that there are normal people in america, but why are they unable to moderate any opinion they have? idk

While each side is supposed to look like "oppositions" you can see they both still believe the whole "America is the best country" "America is land of the free" etc bullshit and completely support the current system and support same foreign policies. Yeah if you think really think about it, America isn't that great, nothing about America warrants all the display of patriotism, really nothing to be proud of. Here in krautistan it’s pretty normal that Krauts tell People from (((other))) cultures how to practice their culture / religion etc correctly or how to even do it better.
