Lizard people might actually be real.

They recently evolved ON EARTH, but because of their nature, were hidden from society with the help of large government funded programs due to humans being unlikely to accept the fact they're not the only sentient beings on the planet. We hardly get along with each other as it is.

Reasoning: They evolved from some of the species of dinosaur that barely survived the asteroid impact that wiped out most of the dinosaurs, but only recently. Within the last 5000 years.

It explains why you dont hear about them in the bible.

Schizo theory : They came late to the fucking party and wanted a seat at the dinner table, but because they failed to survive the way mammals did during the asteroid impact, they play 2nd fiddle to us - especially because we've created modern society and they only recently evolved into a sentient society with the ability to contemplate their own mortality.

All the crazy shit like blinking / closing / 2nd eyes being captured on camera actually might be real, and after a long arduous evolutionary process, they, like some modern day lizards, are able to change the color, shape, and texture of their skin.

Their organs are ridiculously similar to ours, however, an issue would be that if one does die for some reason, does their changed shape revert back to its original form? If that was the case, morticians around the globe would be reporting the bodies of these things, so they're definitely being monitored 24/7 in case they do die and their "family" wonders what happened to them.
