Only useful if you already know a different style on top. In other words, it provides no actual value of its own other than maybe teach you to be aggressive. Sure, it has eight thousand different groin strikes that it takes pride in but groin strikes rely entirely on pain. If pain won't dissuade the person you are fighting, then all you have got left is you practicing different combos against a non-resisting partner that are too long to ever realistically be used.
And it might seem like something that is more effective because "it aint got no rules, it's savage" but really dirty techniques aren't as effective as people imagine them as. People don't like getting hit in the nuts simply because it can fuck with your reproductive capability, it has absolutely nothing to do with how effective it is at stopping someone. And gouging eyes might seem like a super cool trick until you realise that you're going to get decked before you ever get the chance to get a good grip on their head.
