It really doesn't have a save system but it has passwords. You can easily start any level with passwords

why not just save state before any level??
it makes your life a lot easier
but no i probably abused the save states and like saved before tough encounters

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is one of the most difficult games I have played. Have no clue about the castlevania series, looks fun.

I'm not saying it is very hard. I fucking played the first Castlevania, I know what hard really is. I'm just saying it is not a walk in the park, I had trouble with some stages (the bosses were very easy though)

The whole Ghost 'n Goblins franchise is hard. I think the easiest was ghouls 'n ghost for the genesis/mega drive
