The general theme in Gods Vs the Gods, is that the side of God, accused the Gods of being demons, and doing all sorts of human sacrifice in secret, how the fuck would any human, not knowing, be able to know if that's true or not? We can't, but we let fear get the better of us, and to be safe, destroyed everything.
Of course the fear was stoked by certain elements, no doubt. But was it True? Sure we can have faith that our leaders were put there by God, and we were misled, we also know, that humans can bullshit others in order to achieve political ends. So it's checkmate.
I know the devil exists though, but in what capacity? Old testament says that he was a heavenly accuser, New test says hes outright evil and and open enemy of God. Islam says he was a being of Smokeless fire, a Jinn, the Jinn were created apparently before man according to Islam, Book of Enoch and the Zoroastrians say the 'Jinn' are demons, wicked spirits, Book of Enoch says they are the desendants of fallen angels, Islam says Angels cannot fall.
Another big one is the Cathars, who say this world is terrible and the God of this world is the devil, and the real God is beyond that. The pope shut that shit down quick though, i mean...how the fuck would anyone be able to know what's certain? This world isn't a test of heart, it's a broken world. In parts of the bible, God says, lies would deceive even the elect, So what do we do with the crumbs we are thrown?
There needs to be a middle ground. A way we can peer into darkness, and Know the truth, for a fact. Because right now, it's Spirits Vs Spirits saying 'Dude, trust me bro' and that's it. I don't think the desire to know is evil.
