well here allow me to recount the entire experience from the start for you so i can accurately display the full scale of this lunacy
when i got the car they told me that there were some recalls on it, but i could take it to the dealership and they'll take care of it for free. no problem, i think, so i call up to make an appointment. they tell me their next open appointment is 10 am in about 2 weeks, which i say is fine, but then i have to interrupt the guy about to hang up on me to ask how long it's going to take because he just wasn't going to tell me before i asked. in the end he says probably 2-3 hours
so the time comes and i show up. no signage anywhere in the bigass place, so i just stand around until i can flag down an employee walking by. i explain i have an appointment to get recalls taken care of and he annoyedly informs me this is the sales floor. that's cool and all but there's nothing to indicate that and i don't exactly hang out in car dealerships so maybe you could just tell me where i'm trying to fucking go instead yeah?
go to the service desk and wait in line for 15 minutes despite having an appointment and this guy's actually not so rude, but once again won't give me a time estimate for the repairs until i tell him i was originally told 2-3 hours and ask if that's correct. he says that i have 5 recalls not just 2 or 3 like the person on the phone was probably expecting, so it'll take significantly longer but no more than 7 hours.
